When is the next Powerball drawing?
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET, Powerball drawings are held, making them three times every week. On September 30th, there will be another drawing.

How to play Powerball
Each play of the Powerball costs $2.
Pick five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls, and then pick one from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball, to play.
On a play slip, you can write down your fortunate numbers, or you can let the lottery machine choose them at random.
To win, match one of the nine ways:
- 5 white balls + 1 red Powerball = Grand prize.
- 5 white balls = $1 million.
- 4 white balls + 1 red Powerball = $50,000.

With the Power Play, you can multiply your wins by two, three, four, five, or ten times for an additional $1 each play. When the jackpot is $150 million or less, players can multiply non-jackpot wins up to ten times.
All prizes, with the exception of the top prize, are fixed cash sums. The number of winners and the volume of sales determine the prize payouts in California.
